New functions: IDS Software Suite 4.91

IDS Software Suite: version 4.91 supports new cameras and extends functionality

IDS Software Suite 4.91
Version 4.91 of the IDS Software Suite for Windows is now available for download. The release supports new sensor and camera models, such as the focusable uEye LE board level cameras and the 18.1 MP uEye LE Rev. 2 cameras, each equipped with USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface. For the first time, up to five sharpness measurement ranges can be defined in the IDS Cockpit. Thanks to an over-temperature event, several IDS camera families can also communicate their "state of health".

IDS Software Suite is a free software package that is exactly the same for all IDS cameras and can easily handle a mixed operation of USB 2.0, USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1, and GigE uEye cameras.

With the new release, you are able to set up to five different sharpness measurement ranges via the graphical interface of the IDS Cockpit. This function is particularly interesting when you are using multi-AOIs, because you can quickly and reliably determine the optimal focusing of your devices.

You can now activate an over-temperature event for the GigE uEye CP Rev. 2, GigE uEye FA and GigE uEye SE Rev. 4 camera families, which enables the IDS cameras to automatically warn and act if heat development inside reaches a critical point. Until now, this function was only available with the USB 3 uEye CP Rev. 2 industrial cameras.

If, for example, their ambient temperature rises extremely, this also has an effect on their own heat development. As a first step, the camera sends a warning so that you can react to the situation in time. As soon as a threshold value is exceeded, the camera switches off automatically as a precaution.
