Perfectly focused: USB 3.1 Gen 1 LE board level cameras

Liquid lens lenses of the new USB 3.1 LE cameras can be focused via software

USB 3.1 Gen 1 LE board level cameras
The uEye LE USB 3.1 Gen 1 board level cameras with S-mount or CS-/C-mount will be available from July as focusable models, matching liquid lenses are offered separately. The cameras allow perfect images even with variable object distances, because users can easily readjust the focus via software. The low-cost uEye LE industrial cameras with twist-proof USB Type-C connector and USB power delivery are therefore highly interesting for both small device construction and classic machine vision applications.
The new uEye LE USB 3.1 Gen 1 board level variants with liquid lens and 6.4 MP Sony sensor or 18 MP sensor from ON Semiconductor enable IDS-typical "Plug and Play" and are equipped with a 10-pin I/O Molex connector for GPIO, trigger and flash.
The camera has an additional board for controlling the liquid lenses. This allows the focus to be set directly from the camera. Users can use the uEye cockpit for adjustments or access the camera via API.
The liquid lenses use Varioptic® technology from Corning and Edmund Optics. They impress in particular with their precise and fast adjustability and perfect compatibility with our board level cameras. The cameras are therefore ideally suited for projects in small equipment construction as well as for applications in microscopy, medical technology and traffic monitoring.
