Software update provides new functions and improved usability of the all-in-one AI solution IDS NXT Experience Kit
The recently released software update for the IDS NXT platform provides our customers with many groundbreaking new functions at no extra cost. With the all-in-one AI solution IDS NXT Experience Kit it is now possible to realise not only classifications but also Deep Learning-based object recognition without prior knowledge. Perfectly coordinated workflows and easy-to-use tools ensure that the end-to-end solution IDS NXT Experience Kit makes image processing with artificial intelligence manageable for everyone. This also includes IDS lighthouse, the intuitively operable training software for neural networks. It now allows users to train both the classification and the detection of objects. In addition, we have improved the project management within IDS lighthouse and simplified the upload of training images - for example, it is now possible to upload complete folders and define the folder name as a label.
We also introduce the CNN Evaluator: this tool enables a neural network for IDS NXT cameras to be evaluated using sample images on a PC. While the accuracy metrics in IDS lighthouse are used to measure progress during training, the CNN Evaluator can be used to compare different trained networks with each other. This helps to conveniently and quickly check whether the trained CNN delivers the desired results without having to integrate the cameras into a test setup.
