Serial production - intelligent IDS NXT industrial cameras
An inference camera can apply its "knowledge" acquired through deep learning to new data. Since IDS NXT cameras have a special AI core, neural networks are executed hardware-accelerated and run directly on the devices. This enables inference times of a few milliseconds. The IDS NXT rio & rome models are not only intelligent, they are also consistently suitable for industrial use – and are now available in series.
With features such as C-mount, robust housing, GigE network connection with RJ45 or M12 connectors, RS232 interface and REST web interface, customers receive fully-fledged industrial cameras that also prove themselves in demanding environmental conditions.
The cameras are now available with a 1.6 MP Sony sensor and different protection code (IDS NXT rome: IP65/67) - additional sensors (3.2 MP, 5 MP, 6.4 MP) will follow until the end of January 2020.
The AI core of the models ("deep ocean core"; FPGA technology that hardware-accelerates the execution of neural networks) was developed in-house. Thanks to this, the CNNs generated with IDS lighthouse can be run directly on the cameras. Even your own, already existing neural networks can be installed – although this may require converting to a suitable format.
