Sony 4th generation sensors available from April - get the details now
New camera models with Sony Pregius S 5MP, 8MP and 12 MP soon in series production
With the Pregius S-series sensors, Sony is once again raising the bar for sensor technology - but what makes these "4th generation sensors" so special? One important characteristic is the combination of global shutter and BSI (backside illumination) technology. At the same time, the pixels are only 2.74 µm in size. This results not only in a particularly good image quality, but also in an exceptionally favourable price per megapixels resolution.
From April, we will offer the IMX545 (12 MP), IMX546 (8 MP) and IMX547 (5 MP) CMOS sensors in the uEye+ CP and SE camera families. The USB3 models will be Vision Standard compliant, allowing you to conveniently program and operate them with our IDS peak SDK.
