Japanese entrepreneurs association Koken-Kai visits IDS to discover the latest trends in industrial imaging

A delegation of members of the prestigious Japanese entrepreneurs association Koken-Kai recently visited the industrial camera manufacturer IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH in Obersulm. The 74 members, all of whom are C-level executives, were led by Dr. Kenichi Ohmae.

IDS has appointed Steve Hearn as new Sales Director for the UK. Steve has more than 30 years of experience in the camera and machine vision market and has previously worked as Head of UK Sales and product manager for IDS cameras at Stemmer Imaging UK.

The newest generation of CMOSIS' 2.2 MP CMOS sensor provides excellent image quality and highest accuracy even under adverse lighting conditions. The IDS Gigabit-Ethernet board-level GigE uEye LE camera series is now also available with the high-resolution 5 Megapixel CMOS sensor from ON Semiconductor. With its A-Pix technology the sensor offers an outstanding image quality and enhanced sensitivity of 30 %. Due to a resolution of 2560 x1920 pixel and best-in-class image quality the new models are an ideal choice for microscopy but also for demanding industrial inspection and machine vision environments. The high bandwidth of GigE allows easy integration into multi-camera systems.

From now on, IDS's USB 3 uEye CP camera family will also be available with the EV76C570 Global Shutter Sensor from e2v. The CMOS sensor delivers the same image quality and light sensitivity as CCD and has plenty of other innovative features (including a choice of three shutter modes and multi AOI).
