Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. What a camera! Equipped with the IMX541, the 20.36 MPix (4512 x 4512 px) industrial camera GV-5990SE Rev.4.2 features a high-performance, extremely high-resolution sensor from the Pregius S series – the fourth generation of extremely powerful CMOS image sensors from Sony. This is the first time that BSI ("Back Side Illuminated") technology has been used for global shutter sensors. This allows for smaller pixels (2.74 µm) and higher resolution, as well as improved quantum efficiency and sensitivity. As a result, the camera delivers outstanding image quality, which leaves nothing to be desired even in demanding machine vision applications such as surface inspections, detailed image evaluation in medical technology or use in the traffic sector.

The large-format 1.1" CMOS sensor is available in the uEye SE family both as a board-level version and with a housing. The compact industrial cameras are thus a sensible alternative to cameras with similar high-resolution but large-format sensors for which F-mount lenses are usually required. The uEye SE models can be used with C-mount lenses, which results in significant cost savings. The cameras deliver frame rates of 5.5 fps and are uncompromisingly Vision Standard-compliant thanks to the GigE Vision interface. The GV-5990SE Rev.4.2 is available in both monochrome and colour versions.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Metrology

IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.

Safety technology

Image processing is used, for example, for access control or the monitoring of rooms or outdoor facilities.

Mechanical engineering

From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.

Process control

Cameras check the material supply in the process and are used e.g. for the intermediate and final inspection of products.
