What a camera! Equipped with the IMX541, the 20.36 MPix (4512 x 4512 px) industrial camera GV-5990SE features a high-performance, extremely high-resolution sensor from the Pregius S series – the fourth generation of extremely powerful CMOS image sensors from Sony. This is the first time that BSI ("Back Side Illuminated") technology has been used for global shutter sensors. This allows for smaller pixels (2.74 µm) and higher resolution, as well as improved quantum efficiency and sensitivity. As a result, the camera delivers outstanding image quality, which leaves nothing to be desired even in demanding machine vision applications such as surface inspections, detailed image evaluation in medical technology or use in the traffic sector.
The large-format 1.1" CMOS sensor is available in the uEye SE family both as a board-level version and with a housing. The compact industrial cameras are thus a sensible alternative to cameras with similar high-resolution but large-format sensors for which F-mount lenses are usually required. The uEye SE models can be used with C-mount lenses, which results in significant cost savings. The cameras deliver frame rates of 5.5 fps and are uncompromisingly Vision Standard-compliant thanks to the GigE Vision interface. The GV-5990SE is available in both monochrome and colour versions.

Compact and robust: The uEye SE ("Standard Edition") is the all-round industrial camera with a broad sensor portfolio and countless variants. It has proven itself in industrial use for over a decade. It is consistently designed to support even large-format and fast CMOS sensors. The cameras deliver data at full GigE speed and, thanks to PoE ("Power over Ethernet"), also enable single-cable operation up to 100 meters. In addition, the cameras can be operated with an external 12-24 V power source.
In addition to the screwable RJ45 network connector, the uEye SE GigE cameras have an 8-pin Hirose connector for trigger and flash (optically decoupled) as well as two GPIOs (each with 3.3 V), which enable numerous industrial applications.
All uEye SE models are available either as a housing variant with a special, extremely dust-tight sensor seal or as a board level camera with various lens mount options. The range of applications is therefore very wide and covers fields such as automation, mechanical engineering, the packaging industry and traffic monitoring.
Maximum GigE transfer rate!
Single cable operation up to 100 m
The uEye SE cameras can be operated either with 12-24 V or alternatively via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). PoE enables practical single-cable operation up to a maximum length of 100m. The host PC load is also significantly reduced by pixel pre-processing (e.g. definable LUT and gamma) in the camera.
Extremely versatile!
For virtually all applications
The uEye SE cameras are available in different versions - including compact, sturdy metal housings and practical board level versions with or without front flange. This makes them a popular choice for a wide range of applications.
Very large selection!
Wide range of sensors
Users can choose from a large number of modern CMOS sensors with a wide range of resolutions that make optimum use of the GigE interface.

Customer information:
New USB 3 camera technology platform
Due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage with the resulting significant delivery delays, we have developed a new USB3 camera technology platform in the uEye+ product line (match code U3) with identical housings, connectors, sensors, lens holders and features. Electronic components are in stock, prototypes for design-ins for many models are available. Series production of the new USB 3 camera revisions is being established and will then be continuously expanded. The new USB 3 models are ingeniously supported by our Software Development Kit IDS peak.
Due to the prolonged delivery times for our existing cameras, which can continue to be ordered, we are however only offering the newly developed hardware revisions on our website. You can identify these by the revision number "Rev. x.2".
As an existing IDS customer, please contact our sales team for further information.
