The GigE Vision CMOS camera GV-5880FA with the 1/1.8" rolling shutter CMOS sensor Sony IMX178 offers an extremely high resolution of 6.4 MP (3088 x 2076 px, aspect ratio 3:2), which is ideal for visualisation tasks in microscopy or as a cost-conscious option for intelligent traffic systems (ITS). The sensor from the Sony STARVIS series features BSI technology ("back-side-illumination") and is one of the most light-sensitive sensors with a low dark current close to the SCMOS range (Scientific CMOS).

It produces impressive results even in extremely low lighting conditions. Together with our GigE Vision industrial cameras, the Sony IMX178 delivers frame rates of up to 18 fps at full resolution. Thanks to the 1/1.8" sensor size, a wide selection of C-mount lenses is available for the GV-5880FA GigE Vision camera model.

Strong and robust: The uEye FA is particularly robust and therefore ideally suited for use in demanding environments such as factory automation. Camera housings, lens tubes and screwable connectors (8-pin M12 connector with X-coding and 8-pin Binder connector) meet the requirements of protection class IP65/67. This means that the models can withstand even the harshest industrial environments.
They are also especially suitable for multi-camera operation: an integrated image memory decouples image acquisition from image transmission.

Camera-internal functions such as pixel pre-processing, LUT or Gamma reduce the required computing power to a minimum.
The extensive accessories, such as lens tubes and drag chain cables, are just as tough. The cameras are also designed for large format sensors and are typically used for machine vision tasks in industrial plants and quality assurance.

The industrial cameras meet protection class IP65/67 and are therefore optimally protected against dirt, dust and water splashes.

Maximum GigE transfer rate!

Single cable operation up to 100 m

The uEye FA cameras can be operated either with 12-24 V or alternatively via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). PoE enables practical single-cable operation up to a maximum length of 100m.
