The IDS NXT ocean design-in kit is the complete inference camera solution for AI applications in industrial image processing. The system contains all the components a user needs to create, train and run a neural network in a productive environment. The package includes the required hardware – in the form of an IDS NXT rio industrial camera with 1.6 MP Sony colour sensor including power and data cable, stand adapter and lens – as well as the required software in the form of a six-month IDS NXT lighthouse license. You can concentrate completely on the planned application without having to worry about deep learning, image processing or camera programming.

The intelligent cameras of the IDS NXT rio family become powerful inference cameras by installing a neural network. This means that they can apply their "knowledge" acquired through deep learning to new data. Since IDS NXT cameras have a special AI core, neural networks are hardware-accelerated and run directly on the devices. This enables inference times of a few milliseconds.

The IDS NXT rio models are not only intelligent, however, but are also consistently suitable for industrial applications. With features such as C-mount, ruggedized housing, RS232 interface, Gigabit Ethernet network connection with RJ45 connector, REST web service and OPC UA server, customers receive intelligent industrial cameras that prove themselves even in demanding environmental conditions.
