IDS NXT rio is a fully-fledged standard industrial camera that can execute neural networks with hardware acceleration giving inference times of a few milliseconds thanks to the integrated, specially developed AI core ("deep ocean core").

The IDS NXT lighthouse training software makes AI-based image processing particularly easy.

Thanks to features such as C-Mount, GigE network connection with RJ45 connector, a serial RS232 interface and REST web interface, the model is ideally suited for use in industrial environments.

The 6.41 MPix (3088 x 2076 px, pixel size 2.4 µm) IMX178 rolling sensor from Sony's STARVIS series with BSI technology ("back-side-illumination") is one of the most light-sensitive sensors in the IDS portfolio. The camera provides impressive results even under very low light conditions.

The IDS NXT rio RS18064 is available in monochrome or colour.

The intelligent cameras of the IDS NXT rio family become powerful inference cameras by installing a neural network. This means that they can apply their "knowledge" acquired through deep learning to new data. Since IDS NXT cameras have a special AI core, neural networks are hardware-accelerated and run directly on the devices. This enables inference times of a few milliseconds.

The IDS NXT rio models are not only intelligent, however, but are also consistently suitable for industrial applications. With features such as C-mount, robust housing, GigE network connection with RJ45 GigE connector, RS-232 interface and REST web interface, customers receive fully-fledged industrial cameras that also prove themselves in challenging environmental conditions.
