Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. For excellent image quality even in low light scenarios or when the camera should take pictures of fast-moving objects: the cost-effective global shutter CMOS sensor IMX273 from the Sony Pregius series excels through its image quality, high sensitivity and wide dynamic range. With a resolution of 1.58 MPix (1456 x 1088 px) at 3.45 µm pixels, it delivers impressive 251 fps when used with the USB3 Vision industrial camera U3-3042SE Rev.1.2. This makes this camera ideal for cost-sensitive and demanding machine vision applications such as surface inspections, detailed image analysis in medical technology or traffic applications.

Special functions such as long-time exposure up to 30.0 s or the linescan mode for using the industrial camera as a line scan camera also extend the range of possible applications.

The U3-3042SE Rev.1.2 board level camera without lens holder is available in a colour or monochrome version.

This camera model is supported by IDS Vision firmware 2.0 and higher.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Metrology

IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.

Embedded systemes

Typical scenarios are the use in portable systems for quality control, in diagnostics, in scanners or drones.

Surface inspection

IDS cameras detect cracks, irregularities or other processing defects in optical quality assurance.

Logistics

Cameras are indispensable in the logistics sector - e.g. for (de-)palletizing tasks, sorting tasks or in autonomous vehicles.

Sports and motion analysis

Image data can be used for match analyses or to optimize motion patterns, such as golf swings or cycling.

Endless web inspection

Whether steel, paper or fabrics - IDS cameras always keep an eye on their test object and detect, for example, material defects or stains.
