Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. What a camera! The USB3 Vision industrial camera U3-3201SE Rev.1.2 with the large-format 1.1" CMOS sensor IMX304 delivers razor sharp, clear and noise-free 24.0 fps at full resolution (12.29 MPix, 4096 x 3000 px) via its USB interface. It meets the highest requirements for resolution, speed and image quality and impresses with its technical values such as sensitivity (quantum efficiency QE @ 533 nm = 61 %). The U3-3201SE Rev.1.2 is primarily used in classic machine vision applications where fast objects have to be captured or in microscopy where particularly high sensitivity is required. Its extremely low dark noise makes the camera also suitable for applications in biosciences.

IDS-typical special features - such as long-term exposure up to 60.0 s or the linescan mode for using the industrial camera as a line scan camera - also extend the application possibilities.

The U3-3201SE Rev.1.2 board level camera with C-mount lens holder is available in a colour or monochrome version.

This camera model is supported by IDS Vision firmware 2.0 and higher.

Agricultural applications

In the agricultural sector, cameras e.g. monitor plant growth, control the application of fertilisers or inspect the harvest.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Mechanical engineering

From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.

Factory / process automation

Cameras are used in monitoring, control, regulation and optimization systems and help e.g. with localization and selection tasks.

Biotechnology and life sciences

Image processing can be used, for example, to analyse living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.

Food & beverage

To ensure the highest food quality - camera technology e.g. detects contaminants and helps with sorting tasks and fill level monitoring.
