The UI-3864LE AF USB 3 camera with 1/3" Sony IMX290 CMOS sensor provides a resolution of 2.12 MPix (1936 x 1096 px) with superfast 135 fps. The BSI (back side illuminated) rolling shutter sensor of Sony’s STARVIS series is one of the most light-sensitive sensors in our portfolio, offering a truly amazing image quality even in low-light conditions. The colour sensor impresses with a clean colour separation. Thanks to the compact dimensions, this USB 3 camera featuring USB Type-C connector can be integrated easily into a vision system.

The camera's autofocus can be easily configured and triggered via software. This ensures perfectly sharp images in no time at all.

Focus levels can not only be detected automatically, but can also be set manually via software – in other words, without having to touch the lens physically. This allows, for example, a quick change between different, predefined focus levels.

Thanks to its compact dimensions and USB Type-C connector, it can be easily integrated into any image processing system.

On request, the board-level camera is also available with vertical (-VU) USB Type-C alignment. The camera also enables USB power delivery.

Traffic and transport (ITS)

Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Embedded systemes

Typical scenarios are the use in portable systems for quality control, in diagnostics, in scanners or drones.

Mechanical engineering

From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.

Biotechnology and life sciences

Image processing can be used, for example, to analyse living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.

Small device construction

Compact and powerful - IDS cameras can be easily integrated into small devices such as handheld scanners or other portable systems.

Pharma and healthcare

By using cameras, it is possible to check e.g. whether packaging is correctly filled and printed or whether there are any impurities.
