This cost-optimised, fast rolling shutter IMX290 sensor from Sony's STARVIS series is now also available in our UI-5860FA Rev.1.2 industrial camera. The CMOS camera offers truly impressive image quality with clean colour separation for a faithful rendering of subjects even in extremely poor or varying lighting conditions. It offers the popular full HD resolution for visualization applications, long exposure (120 seconds), and extremely high IR sensitivity.
The sensor's small visual 1/3" format is ideal for cost-effective lenses. The PoE version also provides two additional general purpose I/Os (GPIOs). The power supply is provided by the screw-on, dust proof and splash water proof M12 circular connector.

Strong and robust: The uEye FA is particularly robust and therefore ideally suited for use in demanding environments such as factory automation. Camera housings, lens tubes and screwable connectors (8-pin M12 connector with X-coding and 8-pin Binder connector) meet the requirements of protection class IP65/67. This means that the models can withstand even the harshest industrial environments.
They are also especially suitable for multi-camera operation: an integrated image memory decouples image acquisition from image transmission.
Camera-internal functions such as pixel pre-processing, LUT or Gamma reduce the required computing power to a minimum.
The extensive accessories, such as lens tubes and drag chain cables, are just as tough. The cameras are also designed for large format sensors and are typically used for machine vision tasks in industrial plants and quality assurance.
Especially tough!
Particularly sturdy thanks to IP65/67
The industrial cameras meet protection class IP65/67 and are therefore optimally protected against dirt, dust and water splashes.
Maximum GigE transfer rate!
Single cable operation up to 100 m
The uEye FA cameras can be operated either with 12-24 V or alternatively via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). PoE enables practical single-cable operation up to a maximum length of 100m.
It's so easy!
Plug & Play principle
The cameras are automatically detected in the system and are immediately ready for use. Buy a camera, connect it, receive an image - it couldn't be easier!

Customer information:
New USB 3 camera technology platform
Due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage with the resulting significant delivery delays, we have developed a new USB3 camera technology platform in the uEye+ product line (match code U3) with identical housings, connectors, sensors, lens holders and features. Electronic components are in stock, prototypes for design-ins for many models are available. Series production of the new USB 3 camera revisions is being established or has already started and will then be continuously expanded. The new USB 3 models are ingeniously supported by our Software Development Kit IDS peak. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection.
Due to the prolonged delivery times for our existing cameras with USB 3 interface, which can continue to be ordered, we are however only offering the newly developed and ready-to-order hardware revisions on our website. You can identify these by the revision number "Rev. x.2".
As an existing IDS customer, please contact our sales team for further information.
