The U3-3891SE is equipped with the rolling shutter CMOS sensor IMX226. The 12.00 MPix sensor (4000 x 3000 px, pixel size 1.85 µm) from the Sony STARVIS series excels with extraordinary light sensitivity and low noise levels. At full resolution, it accelerates to a frame rate of 33.0 fps.
Thanks to the STARVIS series BSI ("back-side-illumination") technology, the sensor is ideally suited for tasks that require a perfect result even in low light conditions.
It also shows its strengths in application fields such as traffic monitoring, microscopy and quality control. The 1/1.7" sensor size also allows to choose from a wide range of cost-effective lenses.
The U3-3891SE board level camera with C-mount lens holder is available in a colour or monochrome version.
This USB3 Vision camera is supported by IDS Vision Firmware 2.0 or higher.

Compact and robust: The uEye SE ("Standard Edition") is the all-round industrial camera with a broad sensor portfolio and countless variants. It has proven itself in industrial use for over a decade. It is consistently designed to support even large-format and fast CMOS sensors and to make best use of the bandwidth of the USB 3 (5 Gbps) interface.
In addition to a screwable USB Type-C connector, the uEye SE with USB 3 (5 Gbps) interface has a screwable 8-pin Hirose connector for trigger and flash (optically decoupled) as well as two GPIOs (each with 3.3 V). This makes them a popular choice for a wide range of applications in single or multi-camera operation. The integrated pixel pre-processing reduces the load on the host PC.
All uEye SE models are available either as a housing variant with a special, extremely dust-tight sensor seal or as a board level camera with various lens mount options. The range of applications is therefore very wide and covers fields such as automation, mechanical engineering, the packaging industry and traffic monitoring.
Note:
Due to the high performance of modern sensors, some uEye SE models are not supported in USB 2.0 mode. The USB 2.0 interface does not provide sufficient power for this. Further information can be found in the IDS Software Suite manual.
Extremely versatile!
For virtually all applications
The uEye SE cameras are available in different versions - including compact, sturdy metal housings and practical board level versions with or without front flange. This makes them a popular choice for a wide range of applications.
Very large selection!
Wide range of sensors
Users can choose from a large number of modern CMOS sensors with a wide range of resolutions that make optimum use of the USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface.
Especially practical!
USB Power Delivery
For the uEye SE industrial camera with USB Power Delivery, IDS offers a variable power supply at the I/O port that can be used to power an LED illumination or a light barrier. This saves cables and power supplies and therefore time and Money.

Customer information:
New USB 3 camera technology platform
Due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage with the resulting significant delivery delays, we have developed a new USB3 camera technology platform in the uEye+ product line (match code U3) with identical housings, connectors, sensors, lens holders and features. Electronic components are in stock, prototypes for design-ins for many models are available. Series production of the new USB 3 camera revisions is being established and will then be continuously expanded. The new USB 3 models are ingeniously supported by our Software Development Kit IDS peak.
Due to the prolonged delivery times for our existing cameras, which can continue to be ordered, we are however only offering the newly developed hardware revisions on our website. You can identify these by the revision number "Rev. x.2".
As an existing IDS customer, please contact our sales team for further information.
