The UI-1580SE is fitted with the 4.92 megapixel CMOS sensor (MT9P006STC - color version) from ON Semiconductor. About half an inch in size, the sensor delivers a resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels as well as rolling and global start shutter features. Thanks to the innovative A-Pix™ pixel technology, the sensor is extremely sensitive to light, which makes it an affordable alternative to many CCD sensors currently available on the market. This also makes the camera particularly suitable for applications that require maximum precision in color rendering and crystal clear image quality. The A-Pix™ pixel technology is based on the gathering of light by a lightguide, which directs the gathered incident light from the color filter to the surface of the photo diode.

Structure and process improvements in pixel technology have increased the sensitivity of the sensor in the red and green range in particular by up to 30% compared to the previous version of the sensor.

Compact and robust: The uEye SE ("Standard Edition") is the all-round industrial camera with a broad sensor portfolio and countless variants. It has proven itself in industrial use for over a decade. Thanks to the USB 2.0 interface, the camera is extremely flexible, space- and cost-saving, as data transmission and power supply require only one cable. The digital inputs and outputs for trigger and flash control are optically decoupled and can process signals up to 30 V.

All uEye SE models are available either as a housing variant with a special, extremely dust-tight sensor seal or as a board level camera with various lens mount options. The range of applications is therefore very wide and covers fields such as automation, mechanical engineering, the packaging industry and traffic Monitoring.
