The UI-5580RE PoE Rev.2.2 is fitted with the 4.92 MPix CMOS sensor (MT9P006STC - color version) from onsemi. About half an inch in size, the sensor delivers a resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels as well as rolling and global start shutter features. Thanks to the innovative A-Pix™ pixel technology, the sensor is extremely sensitive to light, which makes it an affordable alternative to many CCD sensors currently available on the market. This also makes the camera particularly suitable for applications that require maximum precision in color rendering and crystal clear image quality. The A-Pix™ pixel technology is based on the gathering of light by a light guide, which directs the gathered incident light from the color filter to the surface of the photo diode. Structure and process improvements in pixel technology have increased the sensitivity of the sensor in the red and green range in particular by up to 30% compared to the previous version of the sensor.
Monochrome version: UI-5480RE-PoE
The PoE version also provides two additional general purpose I/Os (GPIOs). The power supply is provided by the screw-on, dust proof and splash water proof M12 circular connector.

Highly robust industrial cameras with Gigabit Ethernet interface. The housing, lens tubes and screwable connectors comply with protection class IP65/67, making them insensitive to splashing water and dust while proving themselves in extreme ambient conditions. The digital inputs/outputs for flash and trigger control are optically decoupled up to 30V.
The GigE uEye RE is available with Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). This has the advantage that there is no separate cable for the power supply needed. Thus, the cameras can be used even more flexibly. They provide two General Purpose I/Os (GPIOs). Power is supplied via the screwable, dustproof and splash-proof M12 circular connector.
Especially tough!
Particularly sturdy thanks to IP65/67
The industrial cameras meet protection class IP65/67 and are therefore optimally protected against dirt, dust and water splashes.
It's so easy!
Plug & Play principle
The cameras are automatically detected in the system and are immediately ready for use. Buy a camera, connect it, receive an image - it couldn't be easier!
Easy integration!
Many fields of application
The cameras provide a convenient single cable solution for data transfer and power supply. This makes them ideal for many applications.

Customer information:
New USB 3 camera technology platform
Due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage with the resulting significant delivery delays, we have developed a new USB3 camera technology platform in the uEye+ product line (match code U3) with identical housings, connectors, sensors, lens holders and features. Electronic components are in stock, prototypes for design-ins for many models are available. Series production of the new USB 3 camera revisions is being established or has already started and will then be continuously expanded. The new USB 3 models are ingeniously supported by our Software Development Kit IDS peak. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection.
Due to the prolonged delivery times for our existing cameras with USB 3 interface, which can continue to be ordered, we are however only offering the newly developed and ready-to-order hardware revisions on our website. You can identify these by the revision number "Rev. x.2".
As an existing IDS customer, please contact our sales team for further information.
