Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. With 8.41 MPix and 4K resolution (3864 x 2176 px, 25.1 fps, pixel size 1.45 µm), the practical U3-38J1XLE Rev.1.2 industrial camera is particularly suitable for visualisation tasks. With the 2x2 binning feature, it is possible to reduce the amount of data to be transmitted by a factor of four if required, thereby increasing both the light sensitivity and the frame rate. Sony's IMX415 rolling shutter sensor is available in both colour and monochrome versions and provides high-resolution data for detailed image analysis.

The compact USB3 camera is available either with a plastic housing with C/CS-mount or S-mount or as a board-level version with or without C/CS-mount or S-mount. It can be used in both industrial and non-industrial applications.

Like all other camera models of the uEye XLE family, the U3-38J1XLE Rev.1.2 is GenICam-compliant and thus compatible with our state-of-the-art SDK IDS peak software.

Please note: If you choose a model without filter glass (matchcode component "-NO"), make sure that no dust or other particles get onto the sensor during set-up and use.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Embedded systemes

Typical scenarios are the use in portable systems for quality control, in diagnostics, in scanners or drones.

Logistics

Cameras are indispensable in the logistics sector - e.g. for (de-)palletizing tasks, sorting tasks or in autonomous vehicles.

Robotics

With IDS cameras, robots learn to "see" - this enables applications such as bin picking or (de-)palletizing.
