Collecting and processing personal data
Personal data is only stored if you have given it to us voluntarily for a specific purpose for which you have released it, e.g., to be contacted by IDS, or in order to execute a contract.
When a visitor uses our website, the following data is recorded in logfiles:
- the visitor's IP address
- date and time the webpage was called
- the objective of the request
- the source of the link to the requested content
- information about the user's browser and operating system
The data collected is used to resolve any errors that may occur and for documentation purposes in the event of an attack on our webserver. If there is no specific reason to keep the documentation, the data is automatically deleted after 14 days.
You have the opportunity to apply for advertised vacancies online on our web page. The personal data you communicate to us in this way is stored and processed exclusively for the application process.
Inventory data and usage data is forwarded to third parties (e.g., payment service providers or vicarious agents) within the limits of the provisions of the law and only to the extent that such is necessary in order for us to provide and charge for our services. This refers particularly to payment services (PayPal, Giropay, etc.), which are used to manage the payment of your purchases from us. The privacy policies of the respective payment service providers apply.
Personal data which you enter on a form retrieved from the web pages of IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH is used to make contact with you and to send you the information and answers you have requested.
As an international corporation, we need to ensure that all of our employees have access to the same information to the extent possible. For this reason, if necessary in individual cases, we communicate customer data to our subsidiaries, representative offices, distributors and suppliers of traded products as well as to our sister company IDS Innovation GmbH. Otherwise, no personal data is transmitted to third parties.
We use so-called cookies mainly to save your preferences and to manage your logins to our website in order to make our websites more user-friendly, more effective and secure - for example to speed up navigation on our website. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer when you visit our website. If personal data is collected and processed via our website, the information is transmitted in encrypted form to prevent it from being misused by third parties. Our backup measures are constantly being revised to keep pace with technological advances.
