From Obersulm all over the world
As an owner-managed family business with almost 30 years of experience in image processing, we invest in our headquarters in Obersulm, Germany, on a long-term and sustainable basis.
With a team of more than 320 employees from 21 countries, branches in the USA, Japan, South Korea and the UK as well as representative offices in France, the Benelux countries and India, we operate internationally but remain rooted in our region.
How we ensure quality
Our exceptionally high level of in-house production and adherence to strict global quality standards guarantee outstanding product quality. We generate our own green electricity, saving over 80 tonnes of CO2 per year - just one of many examples of our commitment to ecological and ethical standards.
The IDS product portfolio
Our 2D and 3D cameras, monitoring cameras and AI-supported models are modular, intuitive and versatile. Highlights such as our customised developments set new standards in image processing. We are the only manufacturer to offer 3 years of voluntary manufacturer’s warranty on all IDS-branded cameras – for even greater security and investment protection. The range of applications extends from mechanical engineering to medical technology and research - always with the aim of making new technologies simple and accessible.

We make our technology available for research purposes and new ideas and share our expertise as a leading image processing company in working groups and with start-ups. Our headquarters in the AI region of Heilbronn, Germany, is located in the centre of a unique artificial intelligence community. IDS has a large network and is proud to be active in various supra-regional partnerships.
