AI-based matching process for object recognition without prior training
Existing systems for AI-based object identification usually require time-consuming training using large volumes of image data. DENK Match AI completely dispenses with traditional model training. Instead, each object image is compared with the characteristic features of a reference object from a database using matching algorithms. If the properties, proportions and visual characteristics match, the object is uniquely identified and marked as a match.
This principle is also suitable for individual objects such as tree trunks. Their visual and geometric characteristics serve as a reference and enable reliable identification. This remains true even after changes in location, alterations in material due to weather conditions, or under varying lighting conditions.
The absence of training data significantly reduces the effort required to set up customer-specific detection tasks. At the same time, generalisability increases, as new objects are identified on the basis of references rather than being trained.
