GMSL2 Discovery Kit for multi-camera and embedded vision applications

The GMSL2 Discovery Kit demonstrates how intelligent camera modules, on-camera image preprocessing, and powerful embedded computing work together optimally. It combines detached camera modules, GMSL2 technology and an embedded PC based on an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX.

The ISP and SoC handle key tasks right within the camera module. The SoC (System-on-a-Chip) consolidates image data for the synchronous transmission of multiple MIPI sensors via a single GMSL2 connection to the embedded PC.

The integrated ISP (Image Signal Processor) optimises the image data for each connected image sensor. Functions such as HDR processing, colour processing, and LED flicker mitigation are performed prior to transmission.

Everything included, ready for immediate use with no integration effort required:

Live image display
Process image data with Python and OpenCV
Directly serve RTSP streams

The kit serves as a starting point for customer-specific development projects and is available to interested developers and OEMs as a loaner kit for evaluation purposes.
