That was Computer Vision Day 2025
Lively discussions, new contacts and inspiring insights
What happens when industry, research and start-ups come together to discuss the future of image processing and artificial intelligence? Exciting encounters, new ideas and a real spirit of optimism: that's exactly what characterised the first Computer Vision Day on 9 October 2025 in Obersulm (Germany).
More than 150 participants enjoyed a day that perfectly combined knowledge and exchange: with keynotes and specialist presentations on current developments, practical live demonstrations, a hackathon and stimulating discussions. The company tours, which offered exclusive insights behind the scenes at IDS, were particularly popular.
In the panel discussion ‘Is rule-based image processing a thing of the past?’, experts discussed explainable AI, data supply chains and hybrid models – topics that gave many food for thought.
IDS Managing Director Alexander Lewinsky aptly summarises the day: ‘An all-round successful event with high-quality presentations and inspiring discussions. We are delighted with the positive feedback and the great atmosphere created by everyone involved.’
The first Computer Vision Day demonstrated the significant interest in practical AI and image processing innovation and the energy generated when expertise, curiosity, and openness come together. It was a start that leaves us wanting more.
By the way: the videos of the presentations are available on our Vision Channel.
