Video streaming with 5 MP resolution and IP69K ingress protection code
IDS NXT oslo expands AI portfolio
Intelligent, robust and versatile - with the new IDS NXT oslo, we are consistently expanding our range of high-performance AI cameras. The model combines artificial intelligence with perfect image quality, video streaming and recording functions in a compact, industrial-grade housing - protected in accordance with the IP69K standard, the highest degree of protection against the ingress of dust and high-pressure water.
The centrepiece of the new camera is a chip from Ambarella, already known from the IDS NXT malibu. It enables compressed video streams in full 5 MP sensor resolution (H.264, MJPEG) with over 25 frames per second. The output takes place directly on the desired end device via the RTSP protocol - without the diversions of an additional PC for analysis or visualisation. This makes the camera ideal for applications that require live images including AI-based overlays.
Thanks to the integrated ISP (Image Signal Processor), users also benefit from automatic features, for example for brightness, lens distortion and colour correction. Together with the light-sensitive onsemi AR0521 sensor, this ensures excellent image quality even under difficult lighting conditions.
‘With IDS NXT oslo, we are launching a versatile AI camera that not only analyses in real time, but also enables direct streaming and recording. The robust IP69K housing including M12 connectors ensures reliable operation in the most demanding industrial or agricultural environments,’ explains Patrick Schick - Product Owner 3D & Vision Software at IDS. The model is now available in series production.
