Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. This industrial camera comes with a GigE interface and is equipped with the 1.1" CMOS Global Shutter Sensor IMX542 from the Sony Pregius S series - this translates into a high resolution of 16.20 MPix (5328 x 3040, pixel size 2.74 µm) and outstanding image results.

The sensor of the GV-51N2SE Rev.4.2 is one of Sony's "fourth generation sensors" and features BSI (Backside Illumination) technology. Due to these properties and the special pixel architecture, the camera is particularly light-sensitive.

In operation, the industrial camera delivers fast 8.0 fps. It can be used for a wide range of applications, from inspection tasks in industry to analyses in medical technology.

The camera is available as a monochrome or colour version. We recommend using it in combination with our versatile IDS peak SDK.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Metrology

IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.

Quality assurance

IDS cameras are used in different production phases, e.g. by checking completeness or by detecting defects.

Electronics inspection

Cameras can check the geometry of printed circuit boards, detect the presence and absence of components as well as dirt and inspect solder joints.

Pharma and healthcare

By using cameras, it is possible to check e.g. whether packaging is correctly filled and printed or whether there are any impurities.
