Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. The availability of the model is fully ensured until its final discontinuation. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. For further questions, please contact our sales team.

The GV-5250CP Rev.2.2 with the e2v CMOS sensor with 2 megapixel resolution is an especially high-performance and versatile industrial camera (EV76C570). It has one of the most sensitive sensors in the IDS product portfolio and it is available in monochrome and colour versions.

The sensor offers an outstanding sensitivity to light in CCD quality.

Incredibly fast, incredibly reliable, incredible sensors: the uEye CP stands for "Compact Power" and is the tiny powerhouse for industrial applications of all kinds. It offers maximum functionality with extensive pixel pre-processing and, thanks to the internal 120 MB image memory, is also perfectly suited for multi-camera systems. The cameras deliver data at full GigE speed and, thanks to PoE ("Power over Ethernet"), also enable single-cable operation up to 100 metres.
Users can choose from a large number of modern CMOS sensors from manufacturers such as Sony, ams/CMOSIS, e2v and onsemi with different resolutions.

Due to its innovative, patented housing design with dimensions of only 29 x 29 x 29 millimetres and best processing quality, the camera makes even designer hearts beat faster. In addition, screwable cables ensure a reliable electrical connection.
The cameras are suitable, for example, for tasks in fields such as automation, automotive, printing and packaging, medical technology and life sciences, agriculture, logistics as well as traffic and transport. The uEye CP with GigE interface also performs excellently on robot gripper arms.

It's so easy!

Plug & Play principle

The cameras are automatically detected in the system and are immediately ready for use. Buy a camera, connect it, receive an image - it couldn't be easier!

Full Ethernet power!

Single cable operation up to 100 m

Full GigE transmission rate and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) functionality with a cable length of up to 100 m. The cameras also feature a screwable 8-pin Hirose connector for GPIO, trigger and Flash.

Extremely compact!

Dimensions 29 x 29 x 29 mm

The small magnesium housing is as light (approx. 50 grams) as it is sturdy. This underlines the uncompromising industrial suitability of the cameras. They are ideal for space-critical applications and particularly suitable for use in multi-camera systems or on robot arms.

3D-Scanning

The depth information of 3D images provides valuable data - for example for dentistry, back or foot measurement.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Traffic and transport (ITS)

Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Safety technology

Image processing is used, for example, for access control or the monitoring of rooms or outdoor facilities.

Gesture and eye tracking

Whether for research or entertainment: IDS cameras can be used to track eye movements and gestures, for example.

Quality assurance

IDS cameras are used in different production phases, e.g. by checking completeness or by detecting defects.

Astronomy

Reach for the stars with IDS cameras - image processing shows information that is difficult or impossible for humans to grasp.

Monitoring

Image processing can be used, for example, to record visitor numbers and customer behaviour and carry out entrance controls.

Endless web inspection

Whether steel, paper or fabrics - IDS cameras always keep an eye on their test object and detect, for example, material defects or stains.

Customer information:

New USB 3 camera technology platform

Due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage with the resulting significant delivery delays, we have developed a new USB3 camera technology platform in the uEye+ product line (match code U3) with identical housings, connectors, sensors, lens holders and features. Electronic components are in stock, prototypes for design-ins for many models are available. Series production of the new USB 3 camera revisions is being established or has already started and will then be continuously expanded. The new USB 3 models are ingeniously supported by our Software Development Kit IDS peak. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection.

Due to the prolonged delivery times for our existing cameras with USB 3 interface, which can continue to be ordered, we are however only offering the newly developed and ready-to-order hardware revisions on our website. You can identify these by the revision number "Rev. x.2".

As an existing IDS customer, please contact our sales team for further information.
