Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. Whether you opt for a model with a completely enclosed housing or one of the board-level versions for embedded vision applications from the versatile uEye SE family: the 1.2" Global Shutter CMOS sensor IMX540 ensures outstanding image quality with high-resolution 5328 x 4608 at a pixel size of 2.74 µm and 16.0 fps. This makes the 24.55 MPix industrial cameras suitable for a wide range of demanding applications where, for example, it is important to capture the smallest details.

This fourth-generation sensor from the Sony Pregius S series is equipped with BSI technology ("Back Side Illuminated") and is therefore particularly light-sensitive. The selected U3-31R0SE Rev.1.2 performs exceptionally well even in applications with low ambient light.

The USB3 camera is available in monochrome and colour versions. We recommend using it in combination with our versatile IDS peak SDK.

The power consumption may exceed the usual USB3 values. It is possible that the camera cannot be operated on every system. The frame rate can be reduced if necessary.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Metrology

IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.

Quality assurance

IDS cameras are used in different production phases, e.g. by checking completeness or by detecting defects.

Document scanning

Efficient capture of document content, for example for documentation or process automation.

Electronics inspection

Cameras can check the geometry of printed circuit boards, detect the presence and absence of components as well as dirt and inspect solder joints.

Pharma and healthcare

By using cameras, it is possible to check e.g. whether packaging is correctly filled and printed or whether there are any impurities.
