Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. Small camera, mighty resolution - thanks to the 19.80 MPix AR2020 sensor from onsemi, users benefit from 5K UHD with impressive 5136 x 3856 pixels. The 1/1.8" Rolling Shutter sensor (aspect ratio 4:3) therefore recognises even fine details, for example in surface inspection.

We offer the sensor not only in colour, but also as a monochrome version. This benefits low-light applications in industry or tasks such as microscopy, where even more sensitivity is required. Also, if you are looking for a technical successor to the popular 18 MP sensor AR1820 from onsemi, you have come to the right place.

The U3-36P0XCP Rev.1.2 industrial camera achieves 15.0 fps at full resolution and a live video-capable 27 fps in FHD mode with 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has a screw-type USB3 interface and a convenient C-mount lens connector. On the software side, it is supported by the IDS peak software development kit - this simplifies the implementation and use of the compact camera.

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Quality assurance

IDS cameras are used in different production phases, e.g. by checking completeness or by detecting defects.

Surface inspection

IDS cameras detect cracks, irregularities or other processing defects in optical quality assurance.

Biotechnology and life sciences

Image processing can be used, for example, to analyse living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.

Small device construction

Compact and powerful - IDS cameras can be easily integrated into small devices such as handheld scanners or other portable systems.
