The USB3 Vision industrial camera U3-3881LE VU AF Rev.1.2 with the rolling shutter CMOS sensor Sony IMX178 offers a very high resolution of 6.41 MPix (3088 x 2076 px), which is ideal for visualisation tasks in microscopy and as a cost-efficient option for intelligent traffic monitoring systems (ITS). The sensor from the Sony STARVIS series features BSI technology ("back-side-illumination") and is one of the most light-sensitive sensors with a low dark current close to the SCMOS range (Scientific CMOS). It provides impressive results even under extremely low light conditions. In combination with our USB3 Vision industrial cameras, the Sony IMX178 delivers frame rates of up to 54.0 fps at full resolution. Thanks to the 1/1.8" sensor size, a wide range of C-mount lenses is available for the U3-3881LE VU AF Rev.1.2 camera model.
Special functions such as long-time exposure also extend the range of possible applications. The U3-3881LE VU AF Rev.1.2 is available in both monochrome and colour variants. The cameras allow perfect images even with variable object distances, because users can easily readjust the focus via software.
The board-level versions are available with vertical (-VU) or horizontal orientation of the USB Type-C connector.

New USB 3 camera technology platform
Due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage with the resulting significant delivery delays, we have developed a new USB3 camera technology platform in the uEye+ product line (match code U3) with identical housings, connectors, sensors, lens holders and features. Electronic components are in stock, prototypes for design-ins for many models are available. Series production of the new USB 3 camera revisions is being established or has already started and will then be continuously expanded. The new USB 3 models are ingeniously supported by our Software Development Kit IDS peak. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection.
Due to the prolonged delivery times for our existing cameras with USB 3 interface, which can continue to be ordered, we are however only offering the newly developed and ready-to-order hardware revisions on our website. You can identify these by the revision number "Rev. x.2".
