Product Life Cycle The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. The availability of the model is fully ensured until its final discontinuation. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. For further questions, please contact our sales team.

What a camera! Equipped with the IMX541, the 20.36 MPix industrial camera U3-3992SE Rev.1.2 features a high-performance, extremely high-resolution sensor from the Pregius S series – the fourth generation of extremely powerful CMOS image sensors from Sony. This is the first time that BSI ("Back Side Illuminated") technology has been used for global shutter sensors. This allows for smaller pixels (2.74 µm) and higher resolution, as well as improved quantum efficiency and sensitivity. As a result, the camera delivers outstanding image quality at fast 19.0 fps, which leaves nothing to be desired even in demanding machine vision applications such as surface inspections, detailed image evaluation in medical technology or use in the traffic sector.

The large-format 1.1" CMOS sensor is available in the uEye SE family both as a board-level version and with a housing. The compact industrial cameras are thus a sensible alternative to cameras with similar high-resolution but large-format sensors for which F-mount lenses are usually required.

The uEye SE models can be used with C-mount lenses, which results in significant cost savings. Thanks to the USB3 Vision interface, the cameras are completely Vision Standard-compliant.

The U3-3992SE Rev.1.2 board level camera without lens holder is available in a colour or monochrome version.

This camera model is supported from IDS Vision Firmware 2.5.

The power consumption may exceed the usual USB3 values. It is possible that the camera cannot be operated on every system. The frame rate can be reduced if necessary.

Compact and robust: The uEye SE ("Standard Edition") is the all-round industrial camera with a broad sensor portfolio and countless variants. It has proven itself in industrial use for over a decade. It is consistently designed to support even large-format and fast CMOS sensors and to make best use of the bandwidth of the USB 3 (5 Gbps) interface.
In addition to a screwable USB Type-C connector, the uEye SE with USB 3 (5 Gbps) interface has a screwable 8-pin Hirose connector for trigger and flash (optically decoupled) as well as two GPIOs (each with 3.3 V). This makes them a popular choice for a wide range of applications in single or multi-camera operation. The integrated pixel pre-processing reduces the load on the host PC.

All uEye SE models are available either as a housing variant with a special, extremely dust-tight sensor seal or as a board level camera with various lens mount options. The range of applications is therefore very wide and covers fields such as automation, mechanical engineering, the packaging industry and traffic monitoring.
Note:
Due to the high performance of modern sensors, some uEye SE models are not supported in USB 2.0 mode. The USB 2.0 interface does not provide sufficient power for this. Further information can be found in the IDS Software Suite manual.

Extremely versatile!

For virtually all applications

The uEye SE cameras are available in different versions - including compact, sturdy metal housings and practical board level versions with or without front flange. This makes them a popular choice for a wide range of applications.

Very large selection!

Wide range of sensors

Users can choose from a large number of modern CMOS sensors with a wide range of resolutions that make optimum use of the USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface.

Customer information:

New USB 3 camera technology platform

Due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage with the resulting significant delivery delays, we have developed a new USB3 camera technology platform in the uEye+ product line (match code U3) with identical housings, connectors, sensors, lens holders and features. Electronic components are in stock, prototypes for design-ins for many models are available. Series production of the new USB 3 camera revisions is being established or has already started and will then be continuously expanded. The new USB 3 models are ingeniously supported by our Software Development Kit IDS peak. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection.

Due to the prolonged delivery times for our existing cameras with USB 3 interface, which can continue to be ordered, we are however only offering the newly developed and ready-to-order hardware revisions on our website. You can identify these by the revision number "Rev. x.2".

As an existing IDS customer, please contact our sales team for further information.
