The USB 3 industrial camera UI-3860CP with 1/3" rolling shutter Sony IMX290 CMOS sensor provides a resolution of 2.1 MP (1936 x 1096 px, Full HD 135 fps) and aims at customers with high demands on image quality and speed. The light-sensitive BSI sensor from Sony STARVIS series is suitable especially for cost-driven applications in mechanical engineering, machine vision, metrology, medical engineering, or microscopy.
The UI-3860CP model with its 1/3" size of the Sony IMX290 sensor is perfect for customers who like to benefit from a very wide range of cost-effective lenses for our USB 3 industrial cameras.

Incredibly fast, incredibly reliable, incredible sensors: the uEye CP stands for "Compact Power" and is the tiny powerhouse for industrial applications of all kinds. It offers maximum functionality with extensive pixel pre-processing and, thanks to the internal 120 MB image memory, is also perfectly suited for multi-camera systems. The USB 3.0 cameras enable a high data rate of 420 MByte/s, low CPU utilization and easy integration.
Users can choose from a large number of modern CMOS sensors from manufacturers such as Sony, CMOSIS, e2v and ON Semiconductor with different resolutions. Due to its innovative, patented housing design with dimensions of only 29 x 29 x 29 millimetres and best processing quality, the camera makes even designer hearts beat faster. In addition, screwable cables ensure a reliable electrical connection.
The cameras are suitable, for example, for tasks in fields such as automation, automotive, printing and packaging, medical technology and life sciences, agriculture, logistics as well as traffic and transport.
Note: Due to the high performance of modern sensors, some USB 3.0 uEye CP models are not supported in USB 2.0 mode. The USB 2.0 interface does not provide sufficient power for this. Further information can be found in the manual for IDS Software Suite.
It's so easy!
Plug & Play principle
The cameras are automatically detected in the system and are immediately ready for use. Buy a camera, connect it, receive an image - it couldn't be easier!
Versatile use!
Practical 8-pin I/O connector
Real-time image trigger capability, synchronous flash signals, a serial communication interface and two GPIOs which can be operated as both an input and an output, open up a huge range of applications.
Extremely compact!
Dimensions 29 x 29 x 29 mm
The small magnesium housing is as light (approx. 50 grams) as it is sturdy. This underlines the uncompromising industrial suitability of the cameras. They are ideal for space-critical applications and particularly suitable for use in multi-camera and 3D systems.

Customer information:
New USB 3 camera technology platform
Due to the worldwide semiconductor shortage with the resulting significant delivery delays, we have developed a new USB3 camera technology platform in the uEye+ product line (match code U3) with identical housings, connectors, sensors, lens holders and features. Electronic components are in stock, prototypes for design-ins for many models are available. Series production of the new USB 3 camera revisions is being established and will then be continuously expanded. The new USB 3 models are ingeniously supported by our Software Development Kit IDS peak.
Due to the prolonged delivery times for our existing cameras, which can continue to be ordered, we are however only offering the newly developed hardware revisions on our website. You can identify these by the revision number "Rev. x.2".
As an existing IDS customer, please contact our sales team for further information.
