Just plug it in and be ready! The uEye XC autofocus camera behaves like a webcam. For this purpose it has a UVC interface (USB Video Class). The advantage is that no separate drivers are needed for operation. You always get razor-sharp images and videos - even with constantly changing object distances or difficult lighting conditions. The camera comes with onsemi's 13.10 MP CMOS sensor AR1335. For high-resolution live image monitoring, the camera offers MJPEG streaming up to 13 MP at 25 fps. It also allows the output of YUV video data up to Full HD.

Thanks to BSI (back side illumination) pixel technology, the AR1335 not only impresses with excellent low-light performance, but also with low pixel noise. The camera also offers practical functions such as auto white balance and colour correction, as well as adjustable parameters for brightness, contrast, noise reduction, saturation and image sharpness. This enables even more precise adaptation to different lighting conditions and scenarios – ideal for demanding industrial applications.

The UVC camera was developed explicitly for industrial requirements. Its components have been specially selected with long-term availability in mind. This is a decisive advantage over consumer webcams. Only a cable connection is required to operate it.

With its practical magnesium die-cast housing, low weight and screw-type USB Micro-B connector, the autofocus camera can be used in a variety of ways in both industrial and non-industrial settings. These include, for example, analysis tasks in laboratories and diagnostics, use in kiosk systems, logistics and robotics applications.
