Tobias Zimmermann
IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbHTobias Zimmermann came to machine vision from journalism. After his studies he began his career in radio and later moved to a regional media group. As an online and social media editor, he worked at the microphone as well as in front of and behind the camera.
Since 2025 he has been part of the IDS marketing team. As Social Media & Content Manager he develops content for LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube, and hosts the short-form videos himself. Cameras have been his tools for years – at IDS they are the subject as well. Complex technology, he is convinced, is not a matter of simplification but of good questions and better answers.
