Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. uEye industrial cameras now also work with IDS peak!
We recommend the Software Development Kit for the implementation of new projects. Learn about the process here and switch now.
Please note: The technical data given here was measured using the IDS Software Suite.

Our UI-5290SE Rev.4.2 GigE industrial camera with the IMX267 8.9 megapixel CMOS sensor from Sony has an impressively large dynamic range and high light sensitivity, including in the NIR range. With a frame rate of 13 fps, it delivers perfect, practically noiseless image quality even in low light conditions. The reduced pixel size of 3.45 µm allows more pixels in a smaller optical format.

The IDS Software Suite provides special sensor functions, such as line scan mode enabling the camera to be used as a cost-effective alternative to line scan cameras.

The UI-5290SE Rev.4.2 GigE industrial camera is available in both monochrome and colour variants.

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Traffic and transport (ITS)

Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Mechanical engineering

From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.

Biotechnology and life sciences

Image processing can be used, for example, to analyse living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.

Monitoring

Image processing can be used, for example, to record visitor numbers and customer behaviour and carry out entrance controls.

Endless web inspection

Whether steel, paper or fabrics - IDS cameras always keep an eye on their test object and detect, for example, material defects or stains.
