Visual inspection of metallic and reflective surfaces during manufacturing can be very challenging. However, even the smallest defects can be reliably detected through optimal alignment of software and hardware as well as optimal lighting. This automation solution identifies and classifies surface defects (e.g. scratches, dust inclusions, etc.) fully automatically. In addition, defects on the object can also be localized. The measurement results are displayed in real time in the user interface. The software also includes a database function and tools for visualizing statistics. This allows the current and past quality level to get tracked optimally.
