Popular, but getting on in years: The 18 MP sensor AR1820 from onsemi had a firm place in our product range for a long time. After the discontinuation by the manufacturer, we are therefore even more delighted to be able to present and offer you the technical successor AR2020 - and this as the first company in the industrial camera market!
Smallest details? No challenge thanks to 5K UHD resolution! Compared to the AR1820, the new 20 MP rolling shutter sensor has a larger diagonal and therefore a better resolution with powerful 5136 x 3856 pixels. A frame rate of 15 fps is sufficient for many demanding applications such as quality inspection, the FHD mode with 1920 x 1080 pixels allow live videos with 27 fps.
In addition, thanks to larger pixels (1.4 μm), you have more leeway when choosing a suitable lens. The onsemi AR2020 is available in colour and as a monochrome version - the latter is ideal for low-light applications and microscopy where even more sensitivity is required.
We have already started series production of our uEye+ XCP cameras; uEye+ XLS board-level variants will follow.
