Exceptionally high-resolution images with low noise levels ensure the capture of even smallest details: the light-sensitive IMX183 Rolling Shutter CMOS Sensor from Sony's STARVIS series provides outstanding image quality even under low light conditions thanks to its BSI technology ("back-side-illumination"). With a resolution of 20.44 MPix (5536 x 3692) at 2.4 µm pixels, it delivers 6.0 fps in the GigE Vision industrial camera GV-5802SE Rev.4.2.

The camera is therefore ideally suited for complex image analysis in applications such as surface and display inspections, medical technology or traffic applications.

The GV-5802SE Rev.4.2 board level camera without lens holder is available in a colour or monochrome version.

This camera model is supported by IDS Vision firmware 2.10 and higher.

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Traffic and transport (ITS)

Keeping an eye on everything - IDS cameras recognize vehicles, check the traffic flow or help with rail and road inspections.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Metrology

IDS cameras detect objects and provide accurate information, such as their dimensions or positioning.

Mechanical engineering

From inspection on the production line to controlling entire systems - camera technology helps to ensure smooth processes.

Surface inspection

IDS cameras detect cracks, irregularities or other processing defects in optical quality assurance.

Biotechnology and life sciences

Image processing can be used, for example, to analyse living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.

Electronics inspection

Cameras can check the geometry of printed circuit boards, detect the presence and absence of components as well as dirt and inspect solder joints.
