The UI-5584LE is fitted with the 5 megapixel CMOS sensor (MT9P006STC - color version) from ON Semiconductor. About half an inch in size, the sensor delivers a resolution of 2560 x 1920 pixels as well as rolling and global start shutter features. Thanks to the innovative A-Pix™ pixel technology, the sensor is extremely sensitive to light, which makes it an affordable alternative to many CCD sensors currently available on the market. This also makes the camera particularly suitable for applications that require maximum precision in color rendering and crystal clear image quality. The A-Pix™ pixel technology is based on the gathering of light by a lightguide, which directs the gathered incident light from the color filter to the surface of the photo diode.

Structure and process improvements in pixel technology have increased the sensitivity of the sensor in the red and green range in particular by up to 30% compared to the previous version of the sensor.

Extension ring CS-mount to C-mountThe CS-mount version comes with an extension ring which enlarges the flange back distance by 5 mm. This allows use of C-mount lenses with the camera.

Economical Gigabit Ethernet single-board cameras for integration in small devices or embedded vision systems with a large variety of lenses and sensors: The GigE uEye LE is optionally available with an M12 lens holder for mounting S-Mount lenses or CS-Mount on selected models.
Due to their compact design, the cameras are ideal for space-critical applications. As they are reduced to the essential functions, uEye LE models are also particularly cost-effective. Cables up to a total length of 100 meters can be used on these models.

The power supply also provides flexibility: Power can be supplied either by the two-pin marshaling panel or by the 10-pin connector. The two integrated status LEDs make it easy to see when the camera is ready for operation.
The cameras are particularly suitable for small device projects and integration into embedded systems. They also show their strengths in medical technology, robotics and classic machine vision applications.

The optional "motherboard" version of the GigE uEye LE with ZIF plug offers even greater flexibility. A wide range of remote boards with RJ45 ports can be connected via Flex ribbon cables.
