Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. Light sensitivity that goes far beyond the human eye - this is what sensors with Starvis 2 technology from Sony have been designed for. If you choose the tiny industrial camera U3-38C0XCP Rev.1.2 with the 2.16 MPix Rolling Shutter sensor IMX662, you can look forward to exceptional image quality with an impressively high dynamic range thanks to its sophisticated pixel technology. The cost-effective USB3 camera (1968 x 1100, pixel size 2.90 µm) has a C-mount lens mount, delivers fast 88.0 fps and is particularly strong in low-light applications where high sensitivity and low resolution are required.

The 1/3" sensor is also an excellent choice when it comes to minimising disturbing reflections within the camera. It has an anti-reflection coating, which counteracts the so-called "lens flare".

The U3-38C0XCP Rev.1.2 is available as a monochrome or colour version. We recommend using it in combination with our versatile IDS peak SDK.

Please note: If you choose a model without filter glass (monochrome sensor, matchcode component "-NO"), make sure that no dust or other particles get onto the sensor during set-up and use.

Machine vision

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Visualisation

Recognize details more accurately - for example, by displaying close-up images on monitors.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Biotechnology and life sciences

Image processing can be used, for example, to analyse living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.

Small device construction

Compact and powerful - IDS cameras can be easily integrated into small devices such as handheld scanners or other portable systems.

Kiosk systems

IDS cameras are used in self-checkout systems as well as in reverse vending machines and ATMs.
