Product Life Cycle Camera in series production. 🛈 Product Life Cycle Long-term availability is an important aspect when selecting the right industrial camera. Our camera finder gives you the life cycle of each camera model so that you can take this criterion into account in your camera selection. The following life cycle statuses are differed: In development The model is not yet in series production, but will be introduced shortly. In series Camera in series production. Not recommended for new designs The model is no longer recommended for new application development. We suggest looking for newer models of the "in series" availability. Discontinued The model has been discontinued. You have the opportunity to secure inventory before the end of the last-time-buy order period. See product discontinuations. Perfect for embedded vision applications that require exceptional light sensitivity: the tiny U3-38C2XLS Rev. 1.2 board-level camera features the 1/3" Sony IMX662 sensor with Starvis 2 technology. Thanks to the sophisticated pixel technology, customers benefit from exceptional image quality with a particularly high dynamic range.

The cost-effective 2.16 MPix USB3 camera (1968 x 1100, pixel size 2.90 µm) delivers fast 88.0 fps and is particularly strong in low-light applications where the best possible image quality with low resolution is required.

The U3-38C2XLS Rev. 1.2 is available as a monochrome or colour version. We recommend using it in combination with our versatile IDS peak SDK.

Industrial image processing is used in a wide variety of applications - from quality assurance to automation.

Medical technology (and laboratory automation)

Image processing is indispensable in medical technology. For instance, IDS cameras provide data for diagnostic purposes in ophthalmology or dentistry.

Embedded systemes

Typical scenarios are the use in portable systems for quality control, in diagnostics, in scanners or drones.

Biotechnology and life sciences

Image processing can be used, for example, to analyse living organisms and biological processes - from swarm behaviour to cell division.

Small device construction

Compact and powerful - IDS cameras can be easily integrated into small devices such as handheld scanners or other portable systems.

Kiosk systems

IDS cameras are used in self-checkout systems as well as in reverse vending machines and ATMs.
