The software available to download from IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH includes some parts that are copyright-protected from access by third parties, and which were published under Open Source licensing conditions (referred to below as "Open Source parts").

  • IDS Software Suite
    For a detailed list of which specific parts these are, see "C:\Program Files\IDS\uEye\Help\Licenses" (Windows) or "/usr/local/share/ueye/licenses" (Linux).
  • uEye Streaming library
    For a detailed list of which specific parts these are, see "C:\Program Files\IDS\ueye-stream\licenses" (Windows) or "/<extract_directory>/licenses" (Linux).


The Open Source parts may be used under the terms and conditions of their corresponding Open Source licenses. You will find the Open Source licenses in the "thirdparty_licenses.txt" file.

The provisions of some Open Source licenses require IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH to make the machine-readable source code available. This source code can be downloaded using the following link.
